thanks for your work on this important issue

where i live the Kick streaming app is the home for that pocket of mma fueled violence

i actually banned my nephew from using Kick for its celebration of violence

but we watch mma as a family. just the fights themselves. not all the pageantry

im not sure i would agree that the sport of mma ever promised to help raise our kids? even if it does help raise mine. perhaps this promise is made in other countries. but here i would think most people don’t want there kids to make a role model out of mma athletes

these are artists who promote binge drinking and use cocaine and steroids

traditional arts have morals. but today mma is its own sport and is largely divorced from the philosophy & ethics of those traditional arts. even if it’s the core arts that mma is based on - such as Muay Thai

i find face-off fights like the one picture to be tacky. obviously they will be broken up

also i think it’s important to keep in mind that they are often deeply dehydrated from weight cuts and training camps exactly as they face off. poor decisions are made while dehydrated

i wish water based weight cuts were banned by the sanctioning bodies and regulators

i truly believe we’d see less brawls if they weren’t all dehydrated (and coked out)
